Restaurant of the Week
El Burrito Jr. 919 S. Pacific Coast Hwy, Redondo Beach, CA 90277
If you’ve ever driven down PCH in Redondo Beach, you’ve seen this big yellow building before. El Burrito Jr. (lovingly known as “LBJ”) has plenty of loyal locals singing its praises. Here’s why…
If you’re in the mood for a Mexican meal that delivers on flavor and volume, El Burrito Jr. is a winner. Grab the Deluxe Burrito (or share the Beach Basket), pile on the salsa, and enjoy. It’s great for a post-beach meal, a laid-back date, or any time you want something comforting and delicious.
Bonus: make sure to try their fresh tortilla chips and salsa; a great welcome into the meal.
In addition to take-out from the window, they offer outdoor seating. Also, there are two more locations: one in Torrance and the other in Seal Beach.

Local Spotlight
Tot Coffee 234 S Pacific Coast Hwy #102, Redondo Beach, CA 90277
If you've been looking for a coffee shop that feels like a warm hug and that serves incredible coffee that'll make you do a happy dance, look no further.
This gem was opened in December 2024 by owner Esther Park, who created this space with her story at the heart of it: a 4-year-old immigrant from South Korea. She wanted to promote her mission to approach life with "wide-eyed wonder and no bounds"…and honestly, that energy hits you the moment you walk in. The space is cozy, clean, and airy, with an aesthetic that's perfect for everything from catching up with friends to getting some serious work done.
The Tot Cream Latte is their best seller, and we also recommend the Blueberry Cream Matcha. If you’re a coffee nerd, you’ll love their rotating pour overs featuring beans from Heart Coffee Roasters, Proud Mary Coffee, and Onyx Coffee Lab. Other fun notes…Tot is partnered with Bread Lounge for pastries, and they also host “No Bounds Run Club” on Saturdays!
Pro Tip: Order online through Clover for pickup if you’re in a rush :)

Sam’s Weather Report
Surprise! It’s still basically summer. The rest of the country is carving pumpkins, wearing flannel, and emotionally connecting with soup…but here, we’re reapplying sunscreen and pretending to feel “seasonal.” Mornings will roll in with that dramatic fog entrance we all know and love, but by noon it’ll burn off faster than your motivation to work after lunch. Highs hang out in the mid-70s, lows in the low 60s…so yeah, technically “fall,” but only if you squint.
If you were hoping for crisp air and cozy vibes, sorry, your PSL is sweating. Torrance will hit “light sweat while walking your dog” levels of warmth, while Hermosa and Manhattan Beach will stay in that eternal golden hour limbo where the ocean breeze whispers, “You’re not done tanning.” Fall might be trending everywhere else, but down here, we’re still in Season 9 of Endless Summer.
