Restaurant of the Week

Bollywood Zaika 633 N Pacific Coast Hwy, Redondo Beach, CA 90277

Bollywood Zaika is a family-owned, fast-casual spot that brings authentic Indian flavors to the South Bay. They serve up vibrant, homestyle cuisine that rivals traditional sit-down restaurants (no wait or heavy price tag).

The customizable menu offers something for everyone! The signatures include: rich and creamy butter chicken, perfectly-spiced palak paneer, and samosa chaat. Also try the Vada Pav or their unique Goan fish curry (which showcases the owner's heritage from the former Addi's Tandoor). They also have excellent vegetarian and vegan options.

Built-to-order meals mean everything arrives fresh. The friendly staff is happy to let you sample anything before committing, and they're helpful with recommendations. They genuinely want you to enjoy their passion.

The clean, minimalist space is perfect for quick takeout or casual dining. This restaurant and the people who run it have a special place in our hearts; not to mention the incredible, authentic food. Do yourself a favor and visit ASAP!

Sam’s Weather Report

While our friends in other states are posting pumpkin patches, flannel fits, and “first sip of PSL” selfies… here in the South Bay, we’re still sweating through our beach chairs. Yep, it’s October, but apparently summer didn’t get the memo. The mornings tease us with fog that feels like fall, but by noon the sun kicks down the door like, “Miss me?” Highs are sticking in the mid-to-upper 70s, Torrance is flirting with 80, and our coastal “breeze” is basically a hairdryer on low.

So while everyone else is leaf-peeping and pretending to love hayrides, we’re stuck in the “permanent sunscreen and iced coffee” era. Hoodies? Only useful for 6 a.m. dog walks. Pumpkin spice? More like pumpkin sweat. Fall might be trending nationwide, but here in the South Bay, it’s still tank tops and flip flops for at least the next few weeks.
