Remember when we gave away Angel City FC tickets? TSBN follower, Olivia, won the tickets and attended the match on June 14th. A big shoutout to those of you who participated, and THANK YOU Olivia for sharing this great pic!

Now, let's dive into what's happening in the South Bay this week.

Restaurants
Rascals Teriyaki Grill 5111 Torrance Blvd, Torrance, CA 90503
Rascals Teriyaki Grill has been serving authentic Japanese-American family recipes to the South Bay community since 1987. After 38 years, they have MASTERED their craft!
This unassuming Torrance gem has famously generous servings. The menu centers around their legendary teriyaki dishes, with the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl and Combo Deluxe leading the charge. The Chinese Chicken Salad has achieved near-mythical status among locals. Sam’s personal favorite is the Teriyaki Burger and Fries.
But truly, what sets Rascals apart isn't just the food; their consistency and incredible value keeps customers loyal.
Check it out and ENJOY!

Local Spotlight
North Torrance Little League (NTLL), a nonprofit youth baseball organization serving kids ages 4-12 since 1955, just launched registration for their 2025 Fall Ball season!
This offseason program welcomes ALL players looking to develop their baseball skills. Without competitive standings or playoffs, Fall Ball emphasizes skill-building, sportsmanship, and pure fun.
The perk of Fall Ball is that it’s on a lighter schedule. Whether your child is brand-new to baseball or a seasoned player, their Fall Ball season plays games on Sunday mornings/afternoons – so your ballplayer can learn, swing, and smile without the chaos of weeknight games!
We highly recommend joining this very special community baseball experience!

Weather & Surf
This week’s South Bay weather is doing the usual June thing—waking up confused, hiding behind fog until noon, then finally deciding to be hot. It’s like your iPhone alarm: annoying at first, but eventually gets you moving.
Expect highs in the upper 60s to low 70s, with the weekend flirting with a balmy 75°F. Bring a hoodie for the mornings, sunscreen for the afternoons, and emotional resilience for the daily personality shifts.
The surf is showing up like a best friend —nothing too wild, but enough for a fun time. A slow-building SW swell rolls in midweek, serving up waist-to-chest-high waves that’ll make your longboard feel loved. Mornings are clean, calm, and uncrowded if you can beat the early birds. The afternoons will get choppy, so skip the sleep-in, hit the water early, and enjoy the ride.
